Aaugh!! I am not very good at using this blog. I just wrote a nice long descsription about our vacation and I lost it!!! So this one is going to be short and sweet. Here is is a list of highlights from our vacation:

Phil passed his 3rd actuarial exam!! Yeah!! That first pic is of him celebrating with a bottle of champagne!

We had a great time at Phil's parents' cabin. Beautiful weather and lots of pontoon and golf cart rides.

Ben and I stayed with my parent's while Phil had to go back to work.

An adult dinner with my good friend, Keri! No kids was awesome!

Shaellen and my mom came home with me and visited for the week. Ben LOVED playing with his cousin!

We found out baby #2 is going to be a boy! We are very excited and I am glad that Ben will have a little brother to play with.

That was our vacaction in a nutshell!! Everything is going great! God is good!

Michigan Summer Vacation

We love summer!

Our summer has been flying by! I can't believe it is already the end of June! We have been thoroughly enjoying the warm weather. Our week usually consists of walks to the park, swimming in our apartment complex pool, or enjoying any other "free" activities I can find! Ben loves to go outside and play. I am already dreading the long winters here.

In the beginning of June I went to my first arena football game. Whitney's boyfriend plays for the Jacksonville Sharks and they were playing the Chicago Rush. So her and my dad came down for the game. It is very fast paced, is played on a lot shorter field, and has a few different rules than regular football. I recommend going to see a game if you ever have a chance. It was really exciting and the Sharks won!

This past weekend Ben got to enjoy his first ever Major League Baseball game. One of Phil's old coworker's couldn't go to the game and offered us his tickets. I was a little worried about how long Ben would last, but figured the tickets were free so we might as well give it a try. We got there in the bottom of the 2nd inning and left at the top of the 7th. I think, like mom and dad, baseball is not his favorite sport. I think he did as well as any 19 month old would do at a game.

I have been feeling really good with this pregnancy. I am enjoying the 2nd trimester of no morning sickness and not being too big yet. We find out 2 weeks from today what we are having, so I am really looking forward to that!

We are getting excited to go to Michigan for our annual summer vacation! Phil will just come up for a long weekend and Ben and I will stay a little longer. We are looking forward to seeing our family and friends, and praying for warm weather!

We've got news!

So I know it has been quite a long time since our last post, but we have good reason for it! Ben is going to be a big brother! I am due November 29th. We are excited and a little nervous (those late night feedings are still all too familar) for our newest addition. I had morning sickness from weeks 7 through 12 and just didn't have the energy to do much of anything. Now I am 13 weeks and feeling much better.

In that time we have had lots going on. Grandma Teena and Grandpa Rudy came to visit us for Easter. We went and got ice cream one night, went to the museum another day, and then Easter on Sunday. We had a really nice time, but it went by too quickly. Grandma and Grandpa Arnold visited a few weeks later. We went out to PF Changs for dinner on Friday, went to zoo on Saturday, church on Sunday, and then they went with Ben to his school on Monday. It was great having them here, they got up with Ben every morning and had him fed by the time we got up. It was a special treat for Phil and I to sleep in until 8:00!

We went to Michigan last weekend for a special occasion! Phil and I are God parents to Dave and April's newest addition, Miles Levi York. We were able to celebrate with them at his baptism. It was an awesome experience. However, not so awesome trying to corral the 3 older York grandchildren as we sat in the front row! It is safe to say we were all pooped after the service. During the weekend we spent a night at Grandma & Grandpa York's cabin on Houghton lake. Despite the lousy weather we had a nice time going on golf cart rides and Ben sticking his feet in the water!

Phil took his exam in the beginning of May and is expecting a passing grade when the results come out in July. We are really excited about that. Ben and I have been going to the zoo a lot (usually about 1 per week), we just love our zoo pass!! We are patiently waiting for our apartment pool to open, I know Ben will love it! We are so excited for summer to be here and hope to see you all over that time!
