No! Ben do it!

Guess it has been awhile since I have taken the time to update our blog. If you have been wondering what has been going on since February, I can give you a brief synopsis. We play during the day, Daddy gets home, have dinner, put the boys to bed, clean up the house, spend a few adult minutes together, go to bed, and repeat!! Although it may sound a little monotonous, the boys certainly keep it exciting.

We have had a few firsts since our last post. A not so exciting first was when we hit a deer on our way back to MI in February at 2am. That extended our trip for an extra week while we got body work done on the car. Phil went back to WI to work during that time, while the boys and I got to have some good quality time with the grandparents. Ben and Owen attended their first parade. It took Ben about 30 minutes to get the whole idea of the parade, you know, running into the street to get candy. Despite the cold weather, we all enjoyed ourselves. Owen has been growing like a weed. He is already into some 12 month clothes. He rolled over today for the first time. It happened at a not so opportune time. I put him down for a nap this afternoon. He cried for about 45 mins, and I thought, "I guess he's not tired." Which was odd because I knew he was. Anyway, I went up to check on him and he had rolled onto his belly from his back and was "stuck." He was not too fond of his new position. I felt so bad that I had let him cry for so long when he really needed me :( Ben has been finding his independence, hence the title of this blog. "No! Ben do it!" is something I hear on a daily basis. It is cool to see him try to put his shoes on or get dressed.

I am sure I am forgetting to mention a bunch of cool things that have happened, but I am too tired and have to get to bed before this all starts over again! :) Hope everyone is enjoying their spring!
This box from Sam's was quite the entertainment for about a week!
