Halloween Weekend
Well Aimee is taking the week off so I guess you are stuck with the man's POV this time. We had a nice first Halloween with Ben at the zoo, although he wasn't quite as excited as I thought he would have "Ben". They had trick-or-treat stations throughout so we perused around until Ben had enough candy for both Aimee and myself. It was a little chilly for late October but it wasn't anything out of the ordinary.
Aimee got him a pumpkin outfit which I thought was cute until we were at the zoo and I realized that the only other toddlers with this costume were girls!! Sorry about that Ben, dada promises to be more involved with the costume selection next year. I was surprised at how many exhibits were going for this time of year but I guess when you think about it it's not like they can ship the animals down to Africa for the winter. Or maybe PETA will petition for something like this.
Also there is picture of Ben at home with his costume on and he is grinning from ear to ear. Well we bought some doughnuts and apple cider after the zoo and Aimee had doughnuts on a plate to coax Ben into a smile, which I think worked out well.
I have to say it is pretty crazy seeing him starting to walk more and more and just taking in more things. Aimee deserves major credit for being such a great stay at home mom. He is just such an amazingly happy guy. Although he can get a little cranky when he is tired or hungry, that sounds like someone that I know.....
I have my exam tomorrow morning and I am actually looking forward to it. I can honestly say that I haven't put in this much time studying since we first got married. But really when it comes down to changing diapers or studying it's not much of a decision. Seriously though I am looking forward to hanging out with the fam on the weekends more.
Well Mad Men is about to start shortly so I need to get situated. I hope that everyone is doing well and I look forward to reporting good news on my exam and any new developments with Ben!
